Proceeds from Guitars N’ Cars goes to support veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. It is estimated one in seven homeless people on Houston’s streets is a veteran. U.S.VETS provides housing, case management, meals and a host of services to help veterans reach productive independence. Together, we can Serve Those Who Served!
DIVERSE FIELDS RELATED TO AVIATION
The Commemorative Air Force Wings Over Houston Airshow (WOH) has established a scholarship program for college students who have completed one year of study in aviation or a related field. The applicant’s academic discipline does not have to be in a technical area but may include business, management, marketing or other fields that are directly related to aviation.
For the 2021 – 2022 academic year, the Wings Over Houston Airshow intends to award $20,000 worth of scholarships in amounts up to $5,000 each. The selection will be made by the Wings Over Houston Scholarship Committee in August, 2021 and the winner notified in September, 2021. The WOH scholarships are intended to assist and reward students who have demonstrated academic potential, leadership, and extracurricular involvement.
